Sankyo WardArriving to a new city isn't something anyone is not used too. Especially if they ran away from home because a fluffy little magic cat tells them too. So hours after Seiichi gets off the train and arrives at Northern Kamihama, he decides to find a good place to eat when he realized that he didn't eat anything. Who can blame him when the train ride to the city took so long, the sun was rising by the time he arrived at the station! And he wasn't annoyed by this, listening to Hachibey's explanation about Wishmakers, Companions, and how they work in Kamihama. Seiichi just couldn't help but be very intrigued by all this new information! "Seiichi?" The cat like creature sitting on Seiichi's shoulder stares at the young man he made a contract with while speaking to him using his telepathic link thing. Seiichi finds this very useful in case he wants to have a conversation without getting any funny looks. So he'll respond back. "Yes, Hachi?" Seiichi was too busy looking at his phone while sitting on a bench. It appears that he's looking in a gaggle search list for good places to eat a decent breakfast. If he's gonna eat in a new city, at least he's gonna find somewhere with a decent enough review score. Last thing he wants is to have a upset stomach before fighting his first Hex. Or worse, contact a rare nasty disease. Hachibey is just watching him scroll past so many opportunities to eat something. "Why must we waste time finding somewhere to eat. I think you should purchase a snack from the vending machine and we'll be on our way." Seiichi lets out a small sigh. "Because we spent all night on that long train ride, i have to prioritize finding a place that at least serves something good for breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day after all. I refuse to skip a meal before heading out to fight monsters that could rip me apart." Hachiebey stares at Seiichi for a minute as if he doesn't understand the human concept of a balanced meal. Humans will always be a mystery to the little gray creature. But when he noticed that one of the search results shows a four star review, the Companion points it's rabbit ear like arm at the phone. He's starting to act like he found a small piece of hidden treasure! "Seiichi look! That one has four stars! I think we should head there while we still can!" Seiichi nods and taps on the link that shows a bunch of reviews on the restaurant. They were positive mostly. Some say the place has a nice variety of meals despite it being a small udon diner. But since he's getting hungry and he needs to focus more on his duties as a warlock, Seiichi stands up and faces the southern direction. "Lucikly, the place ain't so far away. So we can head over there on foot." Seiichi pushes up his glasses. But unlike in anime, they didn't shine for a brief second as he walks towards where he could finally eat something. On his way, Seiichi looks around to see if he can catch small glances of people. It appears that everyone besides him is noticing the strange cat creature on his shoulder. It seems that Hachibey is right, normal people can't seem him! Seiichi has many thoughts about his Companion, his new powers, and why is he here on Kamihama when he should be finding the person who killed his father. Yet he didn't bother to ask. Seiichi just has this sudden felling that he's drawn more to this city during that train ride. Almost as if he has the gut feeling that his target is here in this massive cityscape of advanced technology and skyscrapers. Perhaps this is his wish working it's magic. It defies common sense, but if he's gonna survive this city, Seiichi must abounded a bit of his common sense..
10 minutes later
Even though he got lost a little, Seiichi managed to find the place with the help of a few kind citizens he kindly asked for directions. It may look like small dine in that serves a cheap bowl of noodles. But Seiichi is not one for judge. And he has enough money to at least buy a small plate. So he took a seat on the far left and waits for someone to show up. 15 minutes of ordering and waiting later, Seiichi smiles in relief when the chef comes back with a plate of warm breakfast omurice. Seiichi closes his eyes and clap his hands together.
"Thank you for the meal!"
And then, the Warlock digs in. But, is he gonna eat all by himself? Or, will he makes a encounter someone at this very location? Fate can be such a strange and mysterious mistress..
"Maaaaaaan! This is so good! It's been awhile since i had anything breakfast related that isn't cereal!"

Few days after meeting a newfound ally, Gwydion also had the luck of being hired into a new job which, quite oddly for a company, had also paid for his rent, at least for one month. Even then, that was certainly a big help. It was not as large and as comfortable as their castle back in 14th Century England, but it was decent at least. A small room, good enough for a single person to wiggle and roll around; still quite spacious for two people but a little cramped for three to run round and about. There was a small kitchen on the far end of the flat, the bed a little to the right. There was also a small study table near it and a small shelf for books, but the young man had nothing to put in there yet. There were no luxuries of modern living like television or refrigerator, but those things he didn’t really need. He had survived their ancient way of living, and to be fair to him, he still found modern technology to be quite bizarre and complex to comprehend. He could do away with it surely but some devices seemed necessary, like phones for easy communication. Gwydion didn’t know when he would meet Kin again. They had not exchanged contacts since he didn’t have one yet., and he wondered if he should actually purchase one since he still needed to take care of his monthly rent. Though having one would indeed come in handy. As he contemplate on these things, in a timely manner, his stomach growled again in front of a restaurant, which was this time, a ramen house. A native Japanese tavern of noodles. Fortunately this time, he had some money to satiate his hunger, thus he entered. [301] Koike Seichi

Seiichi was too busy enjoying dining into his omurice to even notice the other boy standing near the entrance of the restaurant. The eggs and rice had a nice combined flavor that goes so well with the ketchup the kind chef adds a little on top of the meal. He looks to the left and to the right before he cuts up a small piece of omurice with his knife and stabs it with his fork. And when Seiichi lifts his eating utensil to Hachibey, the Companion quickly chomps the whole piece in one bite! Seiichi chuckled a bit, it seems these creatures are capable of consuming regular food. Perhaps he would find an opportunity in the future to learn more about these strange wish granting creatures while fighting against the Hexes.
"Thank you for the Omurice, Seiichi. It just smells so good, i was waiting for the opportunity to take a bite out of it! It's amazing how humans can use such simple materials and turn them into something delicious!"
Seiichi chuckled a little as he listens to Hachibey going on about how human cooking is basic but unique, But when Gwydion takes his first steps inside the small noodle house, Hachibey's ears perk up and turns his attention towards the man from a long lost time period in modern time Japan. This is quite curious..
"It appears we have a new guest..."
Seiichi looks at Hachibey, then he looks at the foreigner, then he looks back to Hachibey with a annoyed expression.
"Hachi, quit staring. It's rude to stare at strangers!"

A strange cat-like creature welcomed the medieval prince with a long stare. A normal human being would not probably notice, since companions are invisible to them, but of course as a warlock, it is not too difficult to take note of its presence, especially that he himself owned one… or it probably owned him… whichever the case, honey coloured eyes shifted to its direction for a brief second unsurprised. While he didn’t mind a talking cat beside him, it seemed one of the crew in the ramen shop was quick to pay attention, hearing the raven-haired boy talking to himself. “Sir?” The staff remarked in confusion. He thought the boy was probably hungry to order another meal, but then it was quite surprising to hear him talk to invisible air. To which, Gwydion butted in to save the other warlock some explanation. “Excuse me, I’d like a shoyu ramen please.”The man at the counter directed his attention to the new customer, a bit flushed in embarrassment for meddling in someone’s business. “R-right away!” He could see the companion still staring at him, then again, he paid no heed. It seemed that what Kagamin said was true. Wishmakers, extraordinary human beings like him, seemed to gather at Kamihama City. His own companion mentioned that the witch the French armies used as a weapon in the hundred year’s war was once a wishmaker like them. There was a possibility that such a powerful witch would still be alive. If no wishmaker had found and killed it yet. She could be roaming around somewhere… If Kamihama was indeed a breeding ground for witches, it was likely that she could be here. While Gwydion also wanted to take revenge on the French responsible for his family’s death, it would be quite an impossible task. First, obviously, as he was informed, it had been 7 centuries past the war. That was around 700 years, and he knew no individual could get to that age, not anymore. Unless perhaps, they also wielded magic which was probable. Even then, he had no way to confirm their existence. The best thing he could do, is to look for the witch instead. All these contemplations slowly faded like mist, when the aroma of shoyu ramen filled his nostrils, and his attention was brought back to the strangers beside him. It was not in his character to smile at random strangers unlike Kin. Yet, he took notice of them, glancing at glasses guy for a moment, eventually returning to his meal. [427/728] |2 Koike Seichi

"T-Thanks.."
As Seiichi returns to his meal while paying no attention. Hachibey however, is still staring at Gwydion, who just sat next to the two and orders his meal. As Seiichi finished half of his meal, he lets out a small sigh as he noticed that his Companion is still staring at the foreigner sitting next to him! Even though he wishes that Hachi would stop being rude, Seiichi couldn't risk making the staff here confused when they see some glasses guy talking to himself! But then, Hachibey leaps off of the glasses wearing Warlock's shoulder and lands like a cat on the counter in front of the two boys. The gray colored creature stares at Gwydion with it's almost creepy red beady eyes.
"It's pleasure to meet you. I am Hachibey. Welcome to Kamihama!"
Seiichi was a bit shocked that Hachibey is doing this! But wait, Why is Hachibey talking to this guy who's just enjoying his ramen in peace? Could this guy be a Warlock like him who came here Kamihama to fight witches? Seiichi wanted to say something, but he would look like a dork for asking some random guy if he's a magical boy coming here to fight monsters. So, the young man who seeks the truth would just keep an eye on Hachibey while he takes another bite of his Omurice? Just what is Hachibey's goal for this? It's pretty hard to predict the mindset of these fluffy little creatures..

It was almost amusing at this point that despite his seemingly snobbing look, people still greet and treat him nicely. The young teenager sitting beside him at the counter offered his gratitude for… for what exactly? He got lost into smelling the nice, savory noodles, he forgot he just saved the boy from an awkward situation. Such is the effect of hunger, he supposed. “What for, exactly?” He remarked before continuing slurping the soup of the noodles. Not in a rude tone, of course, rather in a genuine curiosity. Though his actions might have been obvious for giving a cold shoulder. Even then, such cold action did not deter the companion as he continued speaking to the prince, insensitive to their surroundings. He never seemed to care what the crew might think of the mortal young men. His kinds never were. At least, based on his experience too. Come to think of it, it seemed his own companion was keeping his promise. Letting him go off alone, doing his business. Back to the char-eyed alien cat, if Gwydion replied to him now, the crew would think he was as lunatic as the other boy; and therefore decided to ignore him for quite some time. The cat would realise however, what he had in mind. After finishing the bowl, he stood up, paid for the meal and faced the boy, glancing at the companion, and then shifting his attention to its master. “Follow me.”He was not one to initiate a conversation, or to do something as intimidating as this. However, it was quite inevitable since the cat was insistent on speaking with him. And he was not one to pass the opportunity if it would mean he could have more clues on the witch’s whereabouts. These guys might be a local of this city, and they might know more about the oddities, the evil that was lurking at every corner unknown to normal human beings. He was not some kind of hero who vowed to save everyone. He merely wanted revenge for his family. If that was the reason he was still alive. However, it seems it also carried some kind of unselfish weight leading to such a brave act. Gwydion looked to his left and to his right. Calm, but wary of his surroundings. He expect the other two to follow him until they reach an empty park. “I am aware that you are just like me. I just moved here a few days ago as I came from a distant land,” again, the prince turned towards the companion, “You seem to be locals of this city. Can you tell me more about this place?” Of course, he was hoping for a favourable answer, unconscious whether or not he had been a bit impolite or perhaps even impatient at skipping introductions. Maybe such anxiety could have that effect even on nobles who were taught to act courteous at all times. [492/1220] 3 Koike Seichi

"For getting out of a potential awkward situation.."
Seiichi is thinking that this guy is kind of rude for giving him the cold shoulder like that. He doesn't even understand why Hachibey is so interested in this jerk in the first place. But the fact that Gwydion is staring at the fluffy companion is enough proof for Seiichi to believe that this guy is a Warlock like him. Seiichi began to come up with theories. Like, is Hachibey is trying to make the two boys team up for a small Hex hunting party? Or is Hachibey trying to force this guy to cough up whatever seeds he has. But for now, he'll wait to see how this all ends instead of jumping into conclusions like a idiot.
"Hmm?"
When foreign looking man gets up and pays for his meal before telling the two to follow him, Seiichi would do the same after finishing his omurice and leaves his pay behind while Hachibey leaps and lands on his shoulder. Then, the two would follow this rude stranger to whatever destination he has mind. Seiichi is still confused about all this. Either they're following this guy for a spot to have a more private conversation, or he's taking them to a place to beat the shit out of them for Seeds. But, at least the glasses boy ate and payed for a decent meal. And soon, the two Warlocks and the Companion arrived at a empty but lovely park. A perfect spot for a private conversation between two magical warriors and a fluffy little rat.
And as for the question Gwydion asked, Hachibey decides to speak up first.
"Actually. Seiichi here is new to this city and to being a Warlock. Because this place is massive breeding ground for Hexes to hunt. And more Hexes mean Grief Seeds to find.."
The gray colored creature jumps off of Seiichi's shoulder and lands on top of a nearby bench. It seems the Companion has much more to say.
"But i must give you a fair warning. This city's Hexes are much more stronger, than any Hex you might find in a small town or abandoned building. Even a single Wishmaker is powerless against one or two of these power Hexes. Hence why you two must join the Kamihama Magia Union, where they provide what i believe is a perfect opportunity for you two to become stronger and survive longer in this city. What i can tell you is that if you join, they'll provide you with a shelter to stay in, and a special magical girl that can boost your strength ten fold at the cost of one or two grief seeds. But if you wish to turn down my offer, i won't blame you the moment you get killed by a Hex.."
As Hachibey shakes his head when he said that last sentence, Seiichi is just shocked by the way his fluffy little companion speaks. it's almost as if this little guy is talking like a business man offering something to two clients!
Just...what is he?

Gwydion waited in anticipation, albeit not evident on his face. It would be a nice opportunity to learn of the otherworldliness in this city with the help of the other young man; though the companion noted that he was just like him, a fellow alien, perhaps just a little too prompt than him. The raven-haired foreigner already had an idea what hexes and grief seeds were. His own companion explained it to him, though he had not encountered one yet… well, if you count the witches from seven hundred years ago, sure. But he didn’t know that yet at the time; and it only made sense after he acquired more information from the alien cat. “Is it possible that a witch from a distant past is still alive? Do you think they would gather in a place like this? What are the chances for a witch from a very far away land to show up here?”It might seem from the outside that he already knew some bits about what kind of pit they had fallen into. In reality, he was as clueless as the newly recruited warlock. He was just subjected to an unfortunate event in the past. As for the alliance just offered, he paused for a minute to carefully think about it. In the one hand, he wanted this revenge to be his own personal quest. While, true, it would be more convenient at the time. But what if the witch turned out to be so overwhelmingly powerful? He had prepared himself to die anyway. Yet, teaming up with somebody would drag them into something they’d probably regret down the road. Gwydion had no wish to risk their lives, especially that it had nothing to do with them. To be honest, he had no idea yet how powerful witches were. He only knew he had to survive the lesser ones until he faced the witch that annihilated his whole family. Yet the more he thought about the offer, the more tempting it got. Maybe a temporary alliance wouldn’t sound so bad? The prince sighed, “How about a temporary one? I am pursuing a dangerous quest on my own, and I do not wish to burden anyone with it. So until we become strong enough to be on our own, sure.”It was only at this point in time that he realised he had not introduced himself, although he had taken note of the name of the other boy he was with. He offered a weak smile, “It is a pleasure to have met your acquaintance, Sir Seiichi. My name is Gwydion of the House Levinegard, from a place people call now as the United Kingdom.”

Hachibey thought about this for a second. A Hex that's capable of living for a very very long time AND able to travel far away from its Labyrinth from its territory to another faraway region in search for more human prey? Even though it sounds illogical. But, what if there's the possibility that this Hex is so strong that it doesn't need to hide in a Labyrinth from Wishmakers? If this Hex does exist and it’s that powerful, then Hachibey must talk to his fellow Companions about this later on about this…mysterious Hex the English lad speaks off..
“While the idea of a Hexes capable of traveling far beyond its den seems illogical. Not to mention most of them tend to live for either days or weeks before a Wishmaker or two hunts them down for Grief Seeds. But, that doesn't mean we can't deny the existence of the Hex you speak of until we find proof..”
Seiichi is taking all this in. Even though he never said a word and just listens to his Companion speaking to the other Warlock. Even he wonders if such a Hex ever exists in the first place? But the way the Foreigner asks his question, it seems that this guy has some personal history with this Hex.
So when Gwydion proposes for a temporary alliance and Hachibey responds with a slight nod, Seiichi is just relieved that he’s not gonna fight these strong Hexes all by himself for now on. Because he has no idea what to do if were to fight a larger Hex or a small army of them. After Gwydion introduces himself in the way a person from royal nobility does, Seiichi pushes up his glasses and returns the introduction. He didn’t question him or anything. He just assumes it’s some sort of custom from his family.
“And I say the same to you, Gwydion san. But if we need to get settled in this city more, I propose we find one of these shelters Hachi mentioned and sign up for the Magia Union before starting hunting Hexes. we might even find more allies to aid us in the future from the Union.."

While his question was not entirely dismissed, Keiichi’s companion did seem a bit hesitant of Gwydion’s theory. Perhaps they haven't encountered one yet. And surely, they had not met the witch who annihilated his family. If they had, or if this particular alien cat had, he would have said something otherwise. Unless, he was hiding the truth, but then again, what would an incubator gain from lying? From what he gathered from his own companion, they were blunt and incapable of feeling human’s emotions. Since the other warlock was as new as him in this strange world of magical boys and girls, he found himself facing another dead-end, crippled with the lack of information about witches, or whatever they’d be up to from here on. Where would they start? And what would this temporary alliance really mean to them? To what extent and until when? Gwydion himself did not have a concrete plan. All he knew was he needed to find the witch, wherever she was, and become more and more stronger until that fateful day. The sun was now rather high up in the sky; the prince himself did not notice the passing of time. Thankfully, he had nothing in particular to do that day so he figured he could probably tag along with the two even for just a few moments. It was at this point that Seiichi also suggested finding the shelters his companion was talking about. While the raven-haired foreigner had his own home, perhaps it would also be a good idea to hang out with his fellow warlocks, deeming it beneficial to his information gathering. “That sounds like a plan.”Introverted as he was, he’d wait patiently for Seiichi… err.. probably the companion to lead the way, wherever this shelter he was speaking of was located. Seiichi has any right to question Hachibey. From day one, he knew that the Incubator is hiding something from him. But he can't just ask the little guy, or else he'll either dodge the question or try to counter with a question of his own. So for now, he'll have to keep his mouth shut about such topics and wait for the perfect moment. Looking at Gwydion and looking back, the fellow introverted boy hopes that his companion knows what to do next. While he did suggest going to a Haven as their first step of their alliance, Seiichi...had zero idea where to find one of these mentioned Havens..
"Hey, Hachi?"
The cat bunny hybrid perks it's freaky ear arm things up and looks up to see Seiichi trying to ask him a question. But Hachi already knew what he's gonna ask and decides to just give out the answer anyway to make things a lot more easier for the two Warlocks.
"If you're asking about where we can find a Haven. Don't worry, I already know where we can find one. The Haven i have in mind is Kukae Haven in Mizuna Ward. It's where we can sign up for the Union and enter a Haven submission. That way, we can find ourselves a Haven of our own choosing."
Seiichi nods. Recruiting into a organization and signing up for a submission that provides shelter seems like a more realistic solution than just putting on a talking hat and wait for it to choose which house you belong to. The glasses boy looks back at the English lad. He can't say that this is trustworthy, but Seiichi gets the feeling that this guy wont just stab in the back when he isn't looking. Hachibey hops and lands on Seiichi's shoulder before and walks towards Gwydion. Standing next to the other Warlock, the introverted boy slightly smiles at his new temporary ally.
"Mizuna Ward is west of Kamihama. We could take a train right now to make our trip quicker. Though, we'll have to rely on Hachi to guide us to Kukae.."
